Wildgame Recipes: Venison Meatloaf

I don’t know about you but I LOVE meatloaf. And venison can make some of the best meatloaf you have ever had! This is a simple yet great recipe to pull off a family favorite. And if you are lucky, some will be left over and you can make an awesome meatloaf sandwich the next day!

Venison Meatloaf

INGREDIENTS

2lb Ground Venison

4 Slices of Whole Wheat Bread

1 Large Onion, Chopped

1 Tablespoon Chervil

2 Eggs

1 Teaspoon Salt

1/4 Teaspoon Pepper

4 Tablespoons of Chili Sauce

Take your 4 slices of whole wheat bread and soak it in water then squeeze out water the best you can. Mix all the ingredients including the bread and form it into a loaf and place in a roasting pan. Cover the pan and cook at 350 degrees for one hour. Remove and uncover the pan then baste the meatloaf with your chili sauce. Cover again and cook for another 30min at 350 degrees. This amount will serve 6.
